There are hundreds of mobile apps marketed for tobacco cessation, but many are ineffective or may even promote smoking. These FREE listed apps are evidence-based and come from reliable sources:
Ø QuitGuide is a free smartphone app that tracks cravings, moods, slips, and smoke-free progress to help tobacco-users understand their smoking patterns and build the skills needed to successfully become and stay smoke-free.
Ø quitSTART: is a product of Smokefree Teen—a smoking cessation resource for teens created by the Tobacco Control Research Branch at the National Cancer Institute in collaboration with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and input from tobacco control professionals, smoking cessation experts, and ex-smokers.
